ARE LIVE SHOWS CANCELLED?
Yes, New Owner originally scheduled for 15 April and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow scheduled for 15 May have been cancelled. If you have already purchased a ticket/s to either of these shows, you will received a refund.
If you haven’t received a refund by Friday 27 March, please contact the Events Team on 08 9158 9300.
HOW CAN I MINIMISE RISK AT THE CINEMA?
Please make use of the hand sanitizer at the front counter before you enter the Cinema. Also, we are asking everyone who attends to exercise social distancing once inside. This means that you will leave at least two seats spare between your group and the next group: for example, your group of four can sit side by side, but you would leave at least two seats between your group and the next person.
WILL CANCELLED LIVE SHOWS BE RESCHEDULED?
This is a decision which is made by the tour operators and creators – As a venue, the Matt Dann Theatre & Cinema will advertise any new live show announcements on our Facebook page and website.
ARE APRIL MOVIE SCREENINGS STILL GOING AHEAD AS PLANNED?
Yes, at this stage all movie screenings are going ahead as scheduled. However, all screenings are capped at 95 tickets. This may change if the Federal Government further reduces indoor crowd sizes.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I FEEL UNWELL?
Please do not come to the Matt Dann Theatre & Cinema if you feel unwell or are displaying any symptoms of sickness of any kind. We recommend consulting your GP if you are displaying any symptoms, and exercise self-isolation by staying in your home.
CAN I STILL APPLY FOR A VENUE HIRE?
Yes, however the cap of 100 people still applies and must take into account our staff and the audience. For example, if there are 13 people in your group and 3 Matt Dann staff, the maximum audience capacity will be capped at 87 people.
IS THERE A DISCOUNT FOR VENUE HIRERS DUE TO THE REDUCED AUDIENCE CAPACITY?
No, the prices set out in the fees and charges schedule still apply.
